About Me

Hey, I’m Cameron Harwick. I’m a monetary economist.

I’m an Assistant Professor of Economics at SUNY Brockport. I’m interested in how humans coordinate with each other using tools like money, language, and norms. My own work uses tools like macroeconomics, game theory, and computational modeling.

• I play the glockenspiel and some mean foosball.
• Speaking of the glockenspiel, I have a folk metal band called Epta Astera.
• I grow peppers, squash, and melons in the summers.
• In 2012 I won first place in both the Mont Pelerin Society’s Hayek Essay Contest and the Vernon Smith Prize for the Advancement of Austrian Economics.
